What is TED?
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives.
The two annual TED Conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less.
TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Bono, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan and Daniel Kahneman.

What is TEDxFrederiksberg?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxFrederiksberg, where x = independently organized TED event.
At our TEDxFrederiksberg event, live TEDx speakers and TEDTalks videos combine to spark deep discussion and connection in our local community of Frederiksberg. While TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program individual, TEDx event like ours, are self-organized.

Rikke V. Stoltz is our responsible Curator and license holder with TED. She has a corporate background from the A. P. Moller Maersk group where she held several positions with considerable bottom line responsibility. Her tenure there included expatriations to Brazil and Switzerland. In recent years she has carefully picked and been involved in four very different entrepreneurial projects. This included building a highly successful start-up from scratch to a solid commercial success with the world’s largest wind farm installation vessels. She is very interested in accelerating the advent of sustainable transport and energy, and she is a sought after non-exec Board member & panel speaker/debater.
Yasmin Kristensen is our responsible Event Producer. She is an experienced project manager, has been with the A. P. Moller Maersk group for 28 years and has been living abroad for more than 20 years in the United States, Europe, and Asia. She has held several positions managing larger projects and change management efforts. Yasmin has in-depth experience with complex stakeholder management, project development, and tight deadlines. Yasmin’s greatest personal strengths are her drive and commitment. She thrives in an environment of tight schedules where focus and concentration are required. Yasmin has a management degree from ESADE, Project Management certificate from PMI and is currently finalizing her ICA Diploma in AML.
